RIO AND THE ROCKABILLY REVIVAL<\/em> TOUR\u00a0IRELAND AND UNITED KINGDOM, TO PROMOTE NEW\u00a0ALBUM “TESTIFY,”\u00a0SUMMER\/FALL OF 2015<\/span><\/h1>\n

DETROIT, MICHIGAN, USA\u00a0\u2014 One of North America’s leading Americana bands, the award winning Rio and the Rockabilly Revival (Detroit, USA), bring their Testify Tour to Europe,\u00a0pairing\u00a0up with multiple charities and headlining local concerts\/festivals.<\/span><\/h3>\n

July 4th<\/strong>, Rio and the Rockabilly Revival<\/strong>, known for their humanitarian efforts as well as their popular Detroit Roots Rockabilly sound, will kick off their highly anticipated Testify Tour<\/strong> in Dublin, Ireland at the 2nd annual Rock & Jock Softball Tournament and Music Festival<\/em><\/strong> to be held at the Clontarf Rugby Club. \u00a0Proceeds from the event will go to purchase incubators which will be dedicated to Irish hospitals to treat premature babies. Lead vocalist, Rio Scafone, herself the mother of a premature daughter born at just 3 pounds is proud to be part of this very special event.<\/span><\/p>\n

“This event is very close to my heart. I understand from personal experience how critical it is for the premature babies\u00a0to get the care they need right from the start. Incubators provide a safe, life saving environment for premature babies who are many times fighting for their lives. It is\u00a0an honor to perform at this event.<\/em>” — Rio Scafone<\/span><\/p>\n

July 8th<\/strong>, the Revival will headline in Dorset, Ferndown, England, at the Barrington Theatre<\/strong><\/em> with local Rockabilly favorites, Ruby and the Roughcuts<\/strong>. This exciting double bill is in support of Julia’s House Children’s Hospice<\/em>, Dorset’s only children’s hospice care providing respite at home as well as hospice in Corfe Mullen for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. This event is all ages and will also feature a pop up diner by Mrs T’s BBQ, tintype and vintage photography by Carl Wilson Photography, and roots rock DJ\u00a0Wreck ‘N’ Ruin Rockin’ Hop.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additional shows are slated for Newcastle, England and other tour stops throughout the UK.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lead vocalist, Rio Scafone<\/em> is the niece of Rockabilly pioneer, Jack Scott\u00a0(The Way I Walk, Goodbye Baby),<\/em> and carries on the family tradition of serving up spitfire Rockabilly music. With many television, radio and live concerts to their credit, Rio and the Rockabilly Revival<\/strong> have been dubbed “The Church of Rock And Roll<\/strong><\/em>” by critics and fans alike for their ability to whip an audience into a frenzy. Their bombastic, primal performances, reminiscent of a sweltering Southern Revival tent teaming with the sin, sweat and swagger is pure rock and roll; winning them fans across the globe. They have been named one of the Hot 100 Unsigned Artists of 2014 by the iconic Music Connection<\/strong>\u00a0magazine (Los Angeles, California) and recently won the top honor of Outstanding Americana Artist\u00a02015 at the famous Detroit Music Awards<\/strong>. Their most recent album, “Testify,” was released April 17, 2015 and the first run of CDs sold out in under one week.<\/span><\/p>\n
